My long tentacle anemone disappeared for a few hours yesterday. it sucked completely down into the sand till i couldnt see it and then came back out a few hours later. anyone else ever had this happen?

It was probably expelling waste and water, and taking in fresh water my BTA lives in a rock with a big hole, he will shrink so far down in it tou cannot see it, of course my clown had kaniptions cause she can;t waller in it during that time, and a hour or so later its all reinflated again

It freaked me out the first time I saw it I thought it was dying

yea so did i but everything seems to be back to normal now.

I agree with Poppy -- it is normal for anemones to shrink up and expand at different times. Especially if it just ate, it will shrink for a while.
