Mantis!!!

Anyone who has read about my rocks and critters may know I suspected a Mantis.

I have Gulf Rock so I expecting the typical Gulf Mantis which this is but I finally saw it for the first time after 4 weeks.

It is solid dark purple and is about an inch or a bit longer.

It seems to like to hang out near the Anemone. I am sure this is only one of its spots but it is some awesome looking.

It kept coming out and they swimming back in the tunnel area. It is high up on the rocks and I have heard clicking in that area before but now I know exactly where it chills out.

I have to say it was pretty exciting to finally see it and I can't wait to try to catch it. i put a net with shrimp in it near there so I will try that for now.

What do you do with it when you catch it? I assume you dont want to keep it but do you give it away or what?

Refugium for now.

I will feed it and grow it.

Of course if I ever catch it.

Good luck catching your mantis. They are rather pretty shrimp. :)

Gave up for now but I put a trap near where I saw it.

Gotta play my Black Ops and finish my Veteran playthrough for anyone who plays.
