H everyone, is the lamp of the Aqualight Advanced Series HQI Metal Halide Fixture protected, or do I have to cover it with some sort of glass? Also, what is the PAR of the fixture/lamp?

Is it a single or double-ended bulb?

The double-ended bulbs do need a glass shield between them and the water, the fixture should come with it. As far as the PAR, that'll depend totally on the bulb ballast combo you have, it'll be different for any combination.

So they are UV protected?

Can I keep Acropora and clams with this lighting?

The glass will block enough UV. What's the wattage on the bulb, and is this for the 29?

The wattage is 150

Yep, that'll be more then enough to keep those in your tank.
