Midnight White?

Is it unusual for macroalgae to bleach at night and then become green again in the morning? my new algae has been doing that for 2 days now

I think the white part might be new growth? And since there is no light, it is white and then the chlorophyl fills in the next day?:dunno:

I dont have any macro in my tank

hmmm. you could be right about the light. almost the whole algae turns white.
