more newbie questions

i noticed yesterday that there were a few tiny white wormlike creatures that are twirled up on the front glass of my tank. by tonite it apears like there are a hundred of the things! on the live rock and everywhere! does anyone know what they might be? are they good or bad?

Are they little C-shapes about the size of a pinhead? Then they're probably spirorbid worms which are harmless. You can scrape them off the glass. In any case, can you get a picture of them?

The only thing I think it might be is pods. If so there good, there a food source for some fish. I cant say for sure because I dont have any in my tank so I dont know for sure what they look like. Not having pods is the only thing stopping me from buying a manderine.

argh! computers tick me off! I didn't get it zoomed in good enough biff. but maybe you can make out the white specs on the glass. you may have to photoshop the algae out of the picture first:D

Yep those look like spirorbid worms. Take a look at this page: Melev's Reef - Visual Identification there's a picture of them on a snail's shell.

yep I have them in my tank nothing to be worried about just one of the signs of a tank well on its way to being established :D
