mounting a frag sideways?

how many people on here have tried to mount a acro sideways via a magnet through the glass or plastic on the overflow.

im considering doing it with my new red planet acro i got.

opinions?

I've seen it done -- mounted on the back wall of tanks. They just grow outwards and upwards, no difference from mounting them vertically.

interesting. Until recently all pumps had a cord going into the tank until a pioneer made a drive that ran the pumps from outside the tank. Scientists challenge the status quo. You cmay or may not be on to something here.

There are pumps that use a magnetic field that drive the impellor through the glass. It is similar to the magnetic mixers that are used on beakers in a lab
