yes the hard part is over, hopefully. i would keep testing every day or every other day until your sure there is no cycle. at least 10 days maybe?

still good, but one of my leather toadstool corals has yet to open up. It's shrunk a bit and no polyp extension yet. Makes me sad, because it's a gorgeous neon green color and had gotten fairly large. Any ways to coax it into opening/help it recover?

Everything else is opening up great. I promise, pics soon! I just unpacked my camera, so it's charging tonight.

I've had some that stayed closed for over a week and then open back up. Is it still firm? Or has it gone limp like and mushy?

it's still firm, but it's kind of compacted. The stalk was once 2" tall and now it's about 1". But still straight up...

If it's firm it's probably okay. Give it time.

update, the coral has extended..but the polyp's are a lot darker green and shorter than usual. Probably still recovering. I'm psyched, it's going to be ok I think!

On a related note, anyone know how big the toadstool leathers usually get?

Glad it's doing okay. Good news indeed! I think they can grow quite large. I have one that is around 10" across.

Wow, maybe I'll hold off on fragging it soon until it gets a bit bigger..

Also try some heat packets for your bagged fish

Too late! The reason I didn't use heat packets was I didn't want to keep changing the temp on the fish too quick....
