Natural sunlight??

I know its been discussed before and even done...my question is ,is it worth it..?Is there any real advantage to do it if you can?Does it matter if it comes in thru the tank glass and not the top...?.The sun starts to set in my backyard and for about 2 hours or so it will shine thru before it goes behind the hills....Its still pretty bright....One thing,i would have to cut a few trees down to get a good full blast of sun in it,and i can't just go chopping trees down

I would think that the sun would heat the tank up a little too much. Just my :twocents:

Really,even for just 2 hours....IDK and its not noon sun ,its more like 5:30 to 7:30

I'm not saying that it will or that it won't. Its just something to think about. I know how sensitive some corals can be. :smile:

5:30 to 7:30 sun isn't going to benefit the corals,maybe algae.

Algae will grow on your glass much, much faster.
