New Coral

Hey guys I purchased a piece of coral 2 days ago...
I thought there were only Zoas on this piece of rock but the rock was a pretty blue colour..
after being in my tank for 2 days I gave my tank the usual 10% waterchange as I do after 2 days of adding anything new (usually a once a week change if I haven't added anything).
Within 15 minutes of the waterchange what I thought to be only Zoas ended up with this pretty blue coral...

Can someone tell me
1. What it is?
2. Light requirements?
3. How to care for it?

The picture is tiny. But I would guess blue clove polyps. Google that and let us know if it's right.

Wow yours look awesome!!!!
I was really surprised at what I had... I only purchased the piece because of the zoas but am very happy with the blue cloves (now I know what they are)

I was just on another site and everyone there seemed to be posting about how to kill them.......
are they bad?????

They can grow out of control, but if you keep them on their own rock, they can be a very nice piece

Ahhh cool. Lol I don't mind if they take over most of my Nano tank.. they are very pretty..
as long as I can grow my zoas and eventually some mushrooms then it's all good

Hannah is right -- they can spread very quickly. Mine started with only a few polyps that were accidental hitch hikers (like yours). But they are one of the few corals that are a blue color, so they are worth it in my opinion.
