how long is the algea sheet good for in the tank. Since it is just starting to figure it out the sheet has been in there almost 24hrs, but I don't want to disturb the tank more then I have to. The fish are still pretty skidish.

I'm not too sure about algae sheets. I haven't used them yet. I'm sure your fish will get used to you in time. Mine don't even swim away anymore if I put my arm in to move something. They swim up and explore!

My new fish are doing great and eating like champs. I when out of town for the weekend which made me very nervous. But I just added extra water to the sumps so they didn't run dry and knew the fish would make one day without food. When I got back tonight everything was great and the fish were happy to see food in their tank again. I think feeding every other day is going to be the new thing. Unless I see them starting to thin out. As of now they all look very plump.

Feeding every other day wont hurt your fish.They'll get plenty off your rocks.
