new skimmer

i hook up me new skimmer and i have micro bubbls in my tank comeing from the skimmer it is brand new i dont see any cracks or any thing. i talk the guy from the saltwater place i got it from he says its just bracking in and it will go away in a week or 2 is this true

are all the bubbles comming out of the return? is the skimmer in a sump?

yea its comeing out of my return and it is in a sump

i know its the skimmer cuz if i shut it off it all goes away and its fine

you will always have micro bubbles comming from your skimmer you need to get the skimmer behind a bubble trap of some kind that will help stop them from getting to the main tank.

That is true. It can take a week or 2 or 3 for a skimmer to break in before the microbubbles slow down and/or stop.
