New sump

Hi guys I'm setting up my first sump. It's 3 ft just wondering what media to add into it. Would appreciate any advice thanks

I wouldn't use any filter media. Just the added water volume from the sump, and a refugium section with live rock rubble and macroalgae for nutrient export.
