New to the Hobby

Hello,
Always wanted to start a salt water aquarium and recently acquired a 55 gallon aquarium and stand from an army buddy. he is moving and was using the aquarium for a snake (I made sure to ask him if it was a reptile tank or fish tank and he made sure it was a fish tank)...

Since I am new I will post my questions in the New section, but thought I'd introduce myself.

Hello and welcome. Make sure the tank is water tight by filling it up and making sure it doesn't leak. I did this with my 55 outside, so in case it leaked, there wouldn't be an issue. Good luck.

Thanks guys, filled the tank about 12 hours ago, so far so good no leaks!
