I could use some advice/input on a particular aspect of the assembly. This thing will have an acrylic ‘wall’ spanning the width and height of the tank to separate the “sump” section of the tank from the display, with acrylic baffles spanning the distance between the glass and the ‘wall.’ The wall piece is visible in the picture up there. I intend to use Weld-On 4 to attach the baffles to the wall, and I’m considering routing slots into the sump side of the wall to keep the baffles nice and square. The problem with doing this is that the corners of the ends of the slots would be radiused – each slot would most likely end in a full radius, actually. So – there’ll be a D-shaped recession in the wall at the bottom or top of the baffles, depending on which baffle (illustration below). I’m worried about the gunk that will collect in those spaces and whether that potential for build-up is worth the advantage I’d gain in assembly. Thoughts? Thanks!
