I think I just mad a huge mistake. Took a NEW sponge bought for cleaning the SW tank. Forgot to rinse and clean it. Put it directly in the tank!!!!!!!!!! O no. there was a film on it, discovered after I cleaned some of the class! I did a quick water change 75%!! and I'm praying any suggestions?:frustrat:

Throw some carbon in the tank to help soak up some of the film and whatever else contaminants that may be in the water. Good luck.

Just did the 75% w/c and nitrites are slightly high. floating about 1/2 cup of carbon.

Hey guys, Been watching my tank closely and noticed I have some brown algae forming at the sand bed and class and on the back class. I have a UV sterilizer isn't this supposed to stop algae an keep water crystal clear? Water is pretty clear. Do I need some of this stuff? Kent Marine Nitrate Sponge to put in my filters?
