What is the oil slick on the top of the water. Is that normal or something wrong?

its protein that accumulates, you can use a paper towel to remove it or buy a protein skimmer,, if too much accumulates it can and will reduce the oxygen in your water, try pointing powerheads at it

I do have a power head pointing at it....I was just curious just makeing sure everything was ok.
