I have some salt water in the sump I built and but couldn’t get to work right. It’s been under my tank for 5 weeks slowly evaporating. Is that water okay or do I need to get it out and start over?
The problem is I have to tip the sump on its side to get it in and out of the stand.

I would dump it out if it just sat there stagnant for 5 weeks.

Use a small pump to pump the water out into a bucket. Then fill it back up with fresh SW when it is empty.
