Old piece of rock

I have a rather large piece of rock that I used to have in my old 75 gallon that had a large bunch of hair algae on it. I took it out and it has been setting outside in the cold for a few months now. I'd like to clean it up and put it back to use. What's the right method of doing this so I can put it in my 40 gallon? Do I need to recure it? If so, what's the best way to do just one rock?

It's a dead rock now so there is no cureing needed I would scrub it realy good and rinse it off so long as your not putting it in with dead alge hanging of it I think you will.be fine
