Overflow build Problem

I built my own over flow out on 1 inch pipe. Current overflow box is 1inch and so is the rest of the plumbing. The over flow I built seems to just have a low flow rate, anny suggestings on how to fix this with?http://i1222.photobucket.com/albums.../40gal Reef tank/Over Flow/OverflowDesign.jpg

Maaaaybb just perhaps it's the 90 degree angles. Because when I've made siphons with PVC it never quiet works to the capacity of the pipe. You could try two or three 135 degree elbows but that's my only guess
