What are some reasons for PH level dropping? My ph has been stable for months at 8.1 but today i tested the water and its at 7.8/9.

The only thing diffrent that i have done is feed the fish less to drop nutrient levels and using one of those HG light bulbs on my fuge to let the macro grow. Marco is growing much better but im wondering if this is the reason why the PH has dropped.

HAs anything changed in your tank besides what you posted?
Have you switched salts or started using a new batch lately?
Has coralline started growning faster?

Yes actually i did switch salts. That was over two months ago and my ph was fine up until last week.

Coraline is growing same speed. at least from what i can tell..

the only other thing i did diffrent was that i added another sump and readjusted my the tank that had my fuge in it. This meant taking out everything including the sand bed.when i put the fuge back in place and put all the sand in, my tank was cloudy for a few hours. No mini cycle occurred as a result, just cloudy water.
