So I have a friend who is having pH problems and he has tried everything... I really havent had problems with pH ever so I couldnt give him advice and then I thought of here because you guys give great advice.

Is his pH low or high? And what is the reading?

We'll need some info on his tank...ph does fluctuate throughout the day a few notches between day and night.

also, what is his calcium and alkalinity levels at? Those three are related.

Idk really... all i know is that is it really high... coming up dark purple on his test strip he told me yesterday...

Have him take some of his water to the lfs to have it double checked...because those strips he's using can be way off and inaccurate.
