I believe those are pods. You want them in your tank. did you take the pics when the lights were out?

They are amphipods and q-tip sponges. They're both good for your tank and nothing to be alarmed about.

no, i had to replace my filter catridge and my filter has a slot for two cartedges so i moved the old one to the other slot i rinsed it in saltwater first because it was full of sand these lil guys were in the water i rinsed it with they cam outa the filter... what do the sponges realy do just filter?
