Please ID this invert

    Just noticed this guy in my tank today. A few others like him are chomping on some alage in my sump. I was wondering what he was. he's several times larger than the pods I have and has some distinctive claws.

    That is a amphipod.The majority are reef safe although there has been some instances where people have witness them munching on corals.I've personally never witness it.

    Most feed on algae.
