protien skimmer or filter

Hey there, i am thinking of having an aquarium just for corals, vould i need a cartridge filter or a protien skimmer, or both.:helm2:

Protien Skimmer.

Skimmers physically remove detritus and junk from the water column. A cartridge filter just gives it a place to break down, which eventually turns into a nitrate factory, without regularly cleanup.

You still need to do water changes with both, however.
