I am going to install a PhosBan reactor 150. What type of pump would you guys suggest I get for it. The pump will be submerged into my sump. I believe I read that the pump should be able to put out 600gph.:sfish:
That sounds like way too much flow. I think if you tried to push 600 gph thru the reactor you would pulverize the GFO. I wouldn't go with more than a MJ 600 or a MJ 900 with a valve to slow it down. The GFO should gently tumble in the reactor. No matter which pump you get, you should have a valve to control the output flow.
yeah if you push that much through it you will pulverize it lol, i heard if you do that you can bleach out all your coral to, it burns them or something.. im running a little rio it runs up to 90ghp i think.. you just want the media tumbling slowly in the reactor.. when you buy it open it up, it will tell you how much flow you should be putting through it..
