I've noticed some purple "stuff" growing on my live rocks. Currently I have a 26 gallon bow front tank with 2 clown and some beginner coral reefs. What is this purple "stuff" on the rocks?

Soft isn't necessarily bad. It would most likely be a sponge. I have a very pretty purple one...

ok if its purple i think i would be worried something wasnt right drvillen,and as far as salwater goes i know of nothing thats soft then when you touch turns hard lmao
