When you have a qt tank, what do you put in it? I plan on keeping my 10g as a QT tank if needed, but if I need to set it up, what would I need for it?

Heater, some type of filter, and a few rocks or PVC fitings to hide in should be all you need

Do I need sand? I'm asking because I moved my 10g inhabitants into my 45, and I don't know if I should keep the sand or not. I have to riinse it. It's STANKY!

No sand. Sponge type filter will work.

Thanks guys. I broke down my 10g, rinsed out the dsb cuz it was just smelling BAD. I had no use for it anyway, so didn't need to really keep it live. I'm going to use it for my garf rock. Hopefully my pistol shrimp, clown goby, and firefish do ok w/ the move to the 45g.
