Red bubble algea?

I have new algae developing in my tank that is red/bright orange and looks like bubble algae. Is that what it is? And if so, is it good or bad? And if bad, how to remove it?

its bubble yes is spreads fast ive got the same thing i just pull the rock out squish them and dab them with algae killer

Yes, its bad but I haven't found it fast growing. At least not in my tank. Be very careful removing it as I find its very slimy and very fragile.

Its best if you try and remove it without popping it. When you pop it, it spreads the spores, encouraging more to grow. You can very carefully remove them with tweezers or carefully fingers.

There are thousands of these little red bubbles though. I don't know if I can remove them each individually...

Ah, then your best bet is several emerald crabs and working on starving them out.

Reduce nutrients (phosphate and nitrate) and a few days of black outs without lights.
