Ricordea - move in tank

I have a ricordea on the floor of my tank and want to move it into some rocks and let it grow around them. Problem is that it is in a frag plug and seems to be pretty securely attached. *

Can I get it off the plug without damaging? *How?

Should I just leave it in the plug and break off them stem before placing on rock and letting it grow over?

Thanks!

I mostly leave the frag plugs, personally. I find little places to wedge the stems in and then super glue (gel) them into place.

I worry about removing corals from their frag plug, personally. And I feel like stability at the base is more important than the (temporary) unsightly nature of most frag plugs. After a couple months you can't even tell the plug is there. :)

I have alot of Ricordea, I put them into a cup with rubble. They attach with in a few days. Then you can glue them to any rock with super glue. Hope this helps.
