Are there any really particular brands to stay away from when purchasing a RO/DI system? I was looking into an Aqueon.

I don't really think the housing matters as far a manufacturers go. I would focus more on who makes the filters and if they are good quality or not. Take a loot at Bulk Reef Supply. I have one of their 75 GPD units and love it.

from my past experiences, I would just say -stay away from the portable units. Like stated above, the more important thing is who makes the filters
