RO water from Supermarket.... Alk 3.5

I have been struggling to keep the alkalinity up in my tank... this morning I have finally figured out why...

My RO water from my grocery store is 3.5dkh..... that is crazy low.:frustrat::frustrat:

Can i use baked baking soda to raise it up as well?

Don't add anything to RO water. What's the alk after you add salt and what brand salt do you use?

K... I finally have got my alk back to 7dkh... took forever.

I have to add 1/4tsp of baked baking soda just to maintain.... is that normal???
