I'm in the process of getting a rodi 5 stage unit. I was just wondering if the copper house pipes effect the processed water?

well, the copper pipes will leach copper into your water. so after it going through the filter make sure your RO/DI water doesnt come in contact with any copper. But the filter will remove any copper introduced by your pipes.

Yep, the pipes come before the RODI unit, so that's what it's for. :)
