Is it a good idea to keep rotating some live rock from the refugium to the DP and vice versa?

Unless your rotating peices out to throw into the sump for cleaing of algea. Other than that no reason to.

Ok, I just thought it would help with the pods and such or do they find there way through my pump without getting sliced up.

Some of them do. If you have a sponge or something in front of your pump, they won't make it.

Is it a good idea to use some of my free rock in rotation like that to help grow my pods and then get them into the tank since i have a filter wool area and a sponge over the intake?

Not necessary, but then again its up to you. They'll get all over the place all by themselves.
