Royal vs. Dotty

Ummm... since when does the dotty get aggressive towards a royal? My royal is hiding in some rocks... trying to feed her but my purple dotty back is making sure she stays in the rocks...:frustrat: and every time she comes out a little my dotty back keeps chasing her back into the rocks...

any suggestions and is this normal?

the dotty tends to get a little territorial with smaller fish... I tend to suggest people get the gramma instead...

I've had royal grammas that were pretty skiddish, they like to hide...

Grammas and dottyback usually dont get along.
So yeah its normal for them to fight.
Suggestions,Try rearranging your rock with the lights off.If that dont work,you may have to make a hard choice and remove one or the other.

Had a dottyback and he killed a shrimp. The can be very aggressive. I had to give him away.

dottyback need to be last fish added to tank, my sixline and springeri dotty fight alot in my 75 gallon. Had one in 125 gallon before but have a big sixline in that tank that wooped him up real quick. some are real nice lookin fish but there mean and will mess with shrimp and crabs.
