Sammydogs 25g tank

Sammydog

Reefing newb
I've had this tank now for around 8 months. It was an established tank that we dragged halfway across town from the previous owner. Its a 90L tank, which seemed big at the time, now I can't walk into the LFS without getting tank envy.

Unfortunately being new to marine tanks, we kicked off a tank cycle in the move which was closely followed by a major hair algae outbreak. The algae is now receding very quickly, so I thought I would throw up some shots of my tank.

Still working out the best way to take photos though, so excuse the photography.

Getting some new coral this weekend.

My Zoas (light just came on in the first shot which is why they look a little funny)

Featherduster, as the hair algae regressed, it turns out I have a few of these around the tank.

I love these guys.

The mushrooms are becoming a pain, I started with about 15 small ones, now I have 25+ and some are pretty big. I've been giving them to friends lately. When the big one at the top expands, it pretty much casts a shadow over everything. Unfortunately, the LFS aren't real interested in them.

The clowns get along fine, occasionally the big one will have a nip at the smaller ones. Generally though, the blenny is the aggressive one in the tank. Even then, it bites me more than anything else.

I thought I would ask about the clowns. It's pretty rare for people here to keep more then two. It's cool that they all get along.

HAHA
Those little Blennies can be a pain like that.:D
But their hard to beat when it comes to cool fish.

I wouldn't have put more than two in if I was starting from scratch. There is an obvious dominant pair, but it rarely gets violent. that said, the big one had a bite mark on it last week.

Rearranged the rock today and added a toadstool. Hopefully grabbing another coral piece early next week.

Revamped tank layout

I really like it. There was one at the LFS that was well over twice the size for not a lot more money, but I don't think it really would have fit the tank.

There is a small amount of bleaching on the one I have and in this area the bristles haven't fully extended, but I think this should come good in time.

Few new shots. Really happy with the leather, just need to fatten up the Mandarin (and put the blenny on a diet) and I will be really happy. Been eyeing off a nice piece of Elegance Coral which would finish off everything I want in my tank, but I think I will behave and let it go for now.

Leather Coral, pretty much my favorite piece in the tank right now.

Had to add this photo. This guy always looks like the king of the tank perched up on the top of the rock.
