sand star ?

i have 3 sand sifteing star fish will they bother,eat, kill ect mt zoas or acan i have frags i want to put on the bottom in the sand and sometimes i see the star fish thying to eat a snail or something was wondering will he try to eat my frags some are small with like 1 or 2 polyps

Sand shifting sea stars are suppose to be reef save.

i know their reef safe but iv seen them on top of my snails trying to eat them

They are probably just cleaning (eating) something on their shells. I have had them long term and never ever seen any sign of them bothering anything. Do you have a deep enough sand bed for them?
