So i just got this coral for a really good price. My question is will it eventually grow back over where the skeleton is showing ???

Sorry for the crappy picture.

If you are talking about a sculy ( a single polyp LPS), don't move it off the sand bed, or very high. If the membrane has retreated from the outer edge, then it actually won't be easily repaired. A study in Coral Magazine showed that sculies are extremely sensitive to anything stinging them (even Zoas and Mushrooms). They also need to be transported with hanging/floating upside down with the root attached to styrafoam. It easily is possible that it was shipped incorrectly or that it got stung while in the display at your LFS. Don't buy coral that are definitely damaged, because it could mean that they are dying. The article said that the membrane will unlikely come back.

Well so far it seems to be doing good, eats like crazy and seems better on the skeleton portion. But im sure it provably wont grow back over that part but im fine with it.
