I have seen alot of people who have this skimmer who can't get much skim mate out of it.. I had the same problem.. Bought it when it first came out ( hey they did make it sound good :grumble:) for a 45 gal cube that I was going to put seahorses in.. Well needless to say I didn't get much out of it either. Then did a quick and easy fix to it that worked great.. Just drill a hole in the top cover, No larger than an airline tube... then push the airline tube down the outside of the cone and hook it up to a stone .. Hook up an air pump and watch the difference.. Been using this skimmer since hassle free.. Seahorses have done fine( now I am changing the tank to something different, post that later, time for a change :frustrat:)..

I wouldn't reccomend running out and getting the skimmer but if you have it already there is help for it :D
