Setting up a powerhead

How do I set up a powerhead? Do I need to buy the powerhead, position it and plug it in or to I need other equipment besides the powerhead?

most of them that you buy comes with everything you need your basic plug and play just purchase it take it home assemble your suction cup to it posistion it in the tank and plug it up.

Some of them come with brackets to hang it off the side of the tank, in my opinion those are much better than using the suction cups, eventually the suctions cups just won't stick anymore.

i glued mine to mag floats, i got 2 maxi jet mods 1200's, and just got a seio 2600 for a really good price at thereefstop.com but its to big for mag float. Maxi jets mods are stronger but propellar always changes directions at rubs on stopper to kick it back in right directions, very noisy. so honestly i like them on mag floats so i can slide them around to get right flow.
