Skimate color

Ever since i modded my skimmer, the skimate color is no longer green or brown or dark green or dark brown. Its literally black. Why is it so diffrent? Is that a bad sign of water quality?

the darker the skimmate, the better its working. Wish my skimmate was black!

I figured but was concerned maybe it means something else...It does take longer for the cup to fill than before the mod but the skimate is so much thicker and darker i got a lil worried about my water.

Mine is a dark brown

Good sign the mod has increased the effectiveness of the skiimmer, and your foamate should be drier than before, also a good sign. Congrats. Nothing to worry about.
