Sponge?

Ok, so I just noticed these...tubey things on one of my coral frigs today. Any idea what they could be? My guess is a sponge but I'm not sure. There are two growths. One is sort of in the upper right of the coral, the other is on the bottom left.

They look like the tubes of feather dusters. Did they just appear suddenly? Normally they take a while to grow.

They "appeared" within the last week. I didn't notice them but I've been getting home after the lights go off for the last few days.

There are many types of tunicates and sponges that can look that way. It's hard to tell from the picture what it is exactly, but I wouldn't worry about them unless you see them spreading and growing. If that happens, you can remove them by hand.
