stainless steel?

ok, so for aquascaping, im thinking of adding some base rock, but drilling holes in it and putting small pieces of stainless steel threaded rod to keep them together, so they can not fall over, is stainlees steel safe for an aquarium or is there something im missing? would nylon rod be safer?( i dont know if this is the right thread or not, sorry)

I wouldnt use stainless(or any metal really) they all will corrode. Use nylon, acrylic or pvc. I have heard of people cutting up plastic coat hangers to use as well. Just my 2 pennies.

i would deff just stick to using PVC

I agree, don't use anything metal in your tank. You can use wooden dowels or plastic pieces instead.
