stupid shrimp!

my two peppermint shrimp will not leave my brand new star fish alone. it looks like the where trying to pic the tenticles off the underside of him. I Destroyed my tank getting those two shrimp out. I just got it to where I wanted it and add to rearange all the rock work. probably killed a few hermits and shrimp during the process. I thought peppermint shrimp where reef safe?

Feed them something so they leave him alone.

+1 Seabee. They're looking for good. The star is picking up bits of food with it's tenticles and they're picking it out. If you drop some food near them they'll take that and leave the star alone.

thanks for the tips. However I do keep the shrimp feed. Or so I thought..

But the shrimp KNOWS the star has an easy meal for em.They just have to steal it.
