sump start up

Hello everyone so I just set my sump up my tank has been going now for about 3 weeks now I have about 30lbs of live rock and some base rock. I was wondering should I add mixed salt water or regular water to the sump to get it going?

If you already have things in your tank, you'd use saltwater in your sump. Remember that it is increasing the overall water volume of your system, so there is no reason not to use the same type of water you're using for your display tank

All I have is the rock no fish nothing just the rock I'm starting the cycle in the tank so add ready saltmixed water. Should it be to water or regular tap water?

Saltwater, if you use regular tap water, it will lower the salinity in your system

and you really should be using RO or RO/DI water, not tap water
