i got my sump running a few days ago and noticed that one of my baffles is leaking, is there anything i can use to seal it while its filled with water or do i have to drain and dry it?

drain and dry then use Aquarium safe silicone

Silicone works for glass best. If you're doing acrylic to glass, it will hold the panels in place, but if you're doing acrylic on acrylic you need to use Weld On.

But +1 Brian... how is it "leaking"?

the baffles are acrylic, tank is glass, where its leaking is a part where the where it should have been sealed to the glass (im thinking it may have shifted when the silicone was curing)

Is it the last section of your sump? If so, that is where you will see your evaporation.
The baffles not being completely fixed to the sides of the tank shouldn't be an issue.
