sunken cheeks on Blue Face Angel

My angel has been struggling for a week or so. He now has very sunken cheeks and spends his time hanging near the air stone. His breathing appears a bit labored. I've never seen suncken cheeks in a fish before - what's it mean?

Has he been eating? Usually sunken cheeks and stomach are starvation.

Add a little liquid garlic oil to his food. Are you feeding veggies? YOu can squeeze a garlic clove to get a few drops of the oil, drip it on his food, it entices them to eat.

Any eroding flesh around the eyes or cheeks?Is the lateral line protruding?It could be HLLE(head and lateral line disease) in its early stage,not completely sure.A pic might help.

Just curios,how old is the angel?It seems you have a great deal of experience ,and know how to keep a reef up(15+ years it says).So i can assume this was a sudden change in behavior,and has you stumped.Maybe he's just getting old,IDK
