Congrats! You got a foxface rabbitfish!
It's not a tang. But they eat the same things as tangs, algae and seaweed sheets. Foxfaces do have venomous spines so be very careful when working in the tank, you don't want to get stuck.

That is a rabbitfish.But I dont think its a foxface.
Judging from the blue colored spots and the 2nd black line running behind its gill plate,I think its a 2 bar rabbitfish(Siganus virgatus).

Maybe... Hard to tell since they change colors. The one pictured doesn't have the distinct markings that the Live Aquaria one has.

Hmm see biff it looks like I actually was the first one to answer the identification correctly since you struck out with the foxface. Being as the coloration looked a little off I went ahead and played it safe and said "rabbitfish". You see, I kept it simple yet still ruled out that it was not a tang.
