I am looking around for a test kit i trust. The API i had for Nitrates was very yellow like 5. when i used my test strip it came out to 80. LFS also got 80. Salifert is a little much, I don't trust API anymore. redsea and seachem seem to be a little hard to use. I liked the instant ocean one's back in the day but i can't seem to find the kits anymore. Tetra makes strips now but not in all test. Maybe its just worth paying LFS a few dollars to find out what i need to know.

Well, most stores I know use API so you arent going to get any different results. If you want quality tests, you pretty much have to shell out some more dough. All test strip kits are notoriously inaccurate.
