testing RO/DI water

what does it mean when instructions say to test the TDS of the water dripping from the inlet tube of the DI cartridge?

TDS would be the total dissolved solids present in your water. idealy you want 0, so testing TDS will tell you how effective your RO/DI is.

you should check both before and after the DI media. lets you know when it's time to replace your media.

a hand held TDS meter, they're typically about 29.99 from your LFS. if they don't have one, then you can always order online.

kind of a must if you have RO/DI.

sorry guys kind of lost track of this thread!

i'll post a link later this evening for the TDS meter and and calibration fluid package. It's 27.95 for both.
