OK thanks, that was my best guess so far as well. Guess I'll go ahead and tweeze him off since he's disturbing the clam's mantle.

Plan tweezing failed. It is definitely a hard tube and attached to the clam hardcore. I'll just leave him on there unless things get worse.

They will make a home just about anywhere.even right through a middle of a LPS coral.I seen them on open brain and goniopora.Personally,I would crush it with a pair of pliers and remove the worm with tweezers.

you can also use a razor knife and scrape it off the shell....again carefully with the clam closed. Are the bysial(spelling blows) attached to anything? Can you pick the clam up?

Could also try some super glue gel to cover the tube with. Just be very carefull not to get any on the clam mantel.

I'd just leave it be. Shouldn't harm anything.

Great advice from everyone, thanks. I think that's what I'll do dcant unless it looks like a big problem.
